The Palm Picnic Co. is COVID safe!
All our staff are fully vaccinated, trained COVID Marshals and have retail experience in providing safe environments with the easing and tightening of restrictions. Tongs are provided for safe distribution of food from platters in which are hygienically crafted along with all our table wear which is thoroughly cleaned after every picnic event.
How COVID affects your event
We understand that during these uncertain times, COVID can have impacts on our events. We can never guarantee an event is to go ahead during these times in the case of a state-wide lockdown.
Our COVID cancellation policy will follow the same cancellation policy as stated in our terms and conditions. Please read this policy, which is linked in our "Terms and Conditions" tab on our website footer.
All cancellations must be made in writing.
Catering cannot be refunded.
For cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the original date of the event, a full refund, excluding catering and non-refundable deposit for the event will be given.
For cancellations less than 14 days before the original date of the event, only 50% of the event cost will be refunded, excluding catering and non-refundable deposit for the event will be given.
For cancellations made less than 7 days of the original date of the event, we do not offer refunds but can reschedule if there is an available date within six months of your original event date. We cannot reschedule food, so if food is required for the rescheduled event, extra payment is required at the discretion of The Palm Picnic Co.
If there is no available date within six months of your original event date, the event will be cancelled with no refund.
For individual item hire, you will need to reschedule within three months of your original date.
If guest numbers drop, we require 14 days' notice to be able to refund the difference if numbers fall into another price category. Notice given later than this will not result in a refund.
The Palm Picnic Co. strictly follows SA Health and Government COVID guidelines. This includes, but is not limited to, current social distancing, masks, communal food and capacity restrictions.
How to be COVID safe at your Picnic
Wearing masks in outdoor setting is strongly encouraged during your picnic and mandatory during indoor picnics. However, this does not include when eating or drinking.
Hand sanitiser is provided for the event.
Do not use catering platters as communal food: there should be one designated food server to serve up everyone plates. This reduces contact with the food. Tongs and cutlery are provided to assist in this.
Please ensure all rubbish is cleaned up at the end of your event and all guests remain hygienic throughout the entirety of the event.
If COVID restrictions and hygiene precautions are not taken seriously, we reserve the right to keep the picnic bond and/ or take legal action.

After each picnic, The Palm Picnic Co. thoroughly cleans and disinfects each item used. All staff wear masks and hospital-grade gloves when suppling food and drinks.
